Introduction Round –
First we discussed about VSM Vardapan Din program. Students shared their views & thoughts.
Each student told 2 things they liked & suggestions for improvement of program.
Most of students liked Chetna Late’s anchoring, second most thing is Renu Tai Dandekar’s interview. Shradhha told she liked poem on bhau & also Bhau’s speech. All students were particularly impressed by management of all activities.
Then students introduce themselves including their name, place, education, PK name, how they joined VSM. Also discussed why they have selected particular stream of education & also overall experience in their field.

CHIT CHAT Activity –
I made chits with 2 subjects per chit. Students were told to take any one chit & speak on the respective subject. Here is a glimpse of what some of the students presented –
1.       Vidya told about memorable event & story. She specially mentioned her PK name Jyoti Bhave because she regularly contacts her and shares what is going on in her life and also discusses about books she has read, her studies, etc. and also helps her learn new things.
2.       Kaluram introduced himself in English & spoke about importance of workshop.
3.       Dipak’s subject was My Idol. He mentioned Radhika Mavshi’s name & explained how she connects on regular basis.
4.       Rajashree mentioned that she writes ‘Daily Diary’ and it is helping her know what she is doing every day!
5.       Mayur explained why he likes ‘Ne Majasi Ne, Parat Matrubhumila…’ song and also sang it!
6.       Prashant spoke about his participation in Sevankur Shibir and he also mentioned that he likes to participate in such type of activities.
7.       Sujit shared his experience about Snehalaya visit that he made last week along with Kaluram, Rupesh and Santosh.
8.       Pradeep shared about his favourite movie ‘3 Idiots’ & explained how it motivated him
9.       Kavita Bidave spoke about her favourite Essay – Courruption and how to prevent it and work efficiently.
10.   Kamini spoke about her extra-curricular activities dancing and reading books
11.   Shradhha spoke about what a best friend mean to her
12.   Sujit spoke about how he faces tough situations. He prefers doing Yoga and maintain his calm.
All students enjoyed & appreciated this activity.
Then we played rapid fire questions. The format was not usual though! All students were asked same question and they were supposed to give their views on it. It was compulsory! And we all got to know about each other’s thoughts on same topics!

SUGGESTIONS & FEEDBACK –
Overall it was a good learning experience for all of us. One of the suggestions we received is –
Sujit santra suggested that this activity should be conducted 2 to 3 times in a month. He also suggested that the group at a time should not exceed 10 students. As it becomes easier to communicate with each other.
However due to time constraint it looks difficult at the moment to have the session for more than once in a month. We may try to do 2 session whenever possible.
One of the new member, Shradhha shared her feedback saying she was happy to know new students & participate in such an activity.

CONCLUSION-
In the end we circulated selective copies of Readers Digest, Spandan, Jadan Gadan & Anubhav magazines to students.
Next Be Frank is arranged for our new Western line students and the same will happen coming Sunday – 1st September 2013. Vidya & Kavita wish to participate that programme as well.
I personally think that students are eager to talk on so many different things & share their experience with all of us. When they feel comfortable they express freely & with an open mind. They criticise & also suggest some new ideas to implement this activity.  In Sujit Vekhande’s language ’ Vaicharik devan gevan zali!
Regards,
Karan Pardeshi
