Report of 3rd Connect Program
Goal Setting - Part II
Date: 29th September 2013
Time: 2 pm to 6pm
Venue: Industrial Engineering Institute, Thane
VSM has always believed in overall development of children. VSM has been actively creating opportunities for it's students to gain various experiences through Shibirs, Vedh program by IPH and many more workshops and extra curricular activities organised throughout the year.
VSM recently conducted it's 3rd Connect Program of the year - Part II on Goal Setting. We believe that students should be aware of what their goal is and work towards it.
Around 40 students and 15 Karyakartas attended the program.
Following points were discussed during the session -
1. What is Goal? Why is it important to have goal?
2. What is Short term, Mid term and Long term goal?
3. Various types of goals like personal, educational, career, etc.
4. How to plan and prioritize while achieving a goal?
5. What is role of Risk in achieving a goal and how to handle it?
6. Importance of 'self management' (managing available time effectively)
7. Importance of having a Plan B and even a Plan C, if needed
8. Importance of having a SMART and important goal
Students are now asked to have a tree diagram of their individual goals and it will be discussed with their Palak Karyakartas and Connect Program Committee members.
