Subject :  Awareness campaign of VSM at Runwal Plaza Co-operative Housing Society, Vartak Nagar.

Objective : The noble cause of VSM to reach maximum people. Get donor's or karyakarta's.

Format of participation : The society had fun fair for three days in their premises. There were various stalls which included games, food and dress material . NGO stall was only by VSM.

Date and Time : 26th, 27th 28th December from 7.30 pm- 10 pm.

Reference : The first Donor's meet (Friends of VSM program) arranged by VSM on 20th December 2014. 

Co-ordinator for this stall : Dr. Annapurna Kamat, Mr. Arun Joshi, Mr. Deepak Joshi. Students - Bharat Kadam and Shubham Sakpal.

Charges for stall : Rs. 500/- for three days. But was waived on request of Dr. Annapurna Kamat.

Material utilised : Two banners, 50 appeal patrak and 10 pamplets. Pamplets were distributed only to those who showed interest. Rest were returned to office.

Response for stall :

1. 25 people visited the stall and were given information about VSM.

2. Their contact information was noted.

3. Some of the visitors showed interest in joining VSM.

4. Collected donation of Rs. 7,500/-.  Out of which Rs. 5,000/- was given by a donor on occasion of his daughter's birthday. 

Followup action :

1. Followup calls are going to be done by Dr. Kamat.

2. They will be informed about joining as donor or giving us references. Their skill sets will be noted

3. Respective donor's were given thank you letter and receipt from VSM.

Learnings from this event :

1.The main objective was to make people aware of VSM and seek like minded people as Karyakarta for the noble cause ( jyotase jyot jalate chalo. Premaki ganga jalato chal.).

2. Students -Shubham Sakpal and Bharat Kadam ( local VSM students) were also present. Their presence helped us to to demonstrate that how VSM supports the upliftment of under priviledged children in society.

3. Overall  the response was good. It was a long week end and most of the people from society were out of station. Yet from the people who were present gave a good response.

Message for VSM family members :

Doing Good is a simple and universal vision. A vision to which each and every one of us can connect and contribute to its realization. A vision based on the belief that by doing good deeds, positive thinking and affirmative choice of words, feelings and actions, we can enhance goodness in the world.

Dont loose any opportunity to spread word about the noble cause as good work is infectious. There are many people around us who are looking forward to do a good act.
