On 1st July 2012 Mr.Linson Wasnik conducted workshop on ‘Time management’ and ‘Power of Positive Thinking’ at NewEnglish School, Thane for the students of ‘Vidyadaan Sahayyak Mandal’.

65 college going students from Thane, Shahpur area participated in it.

The following points were discussed at the workshop with ample examples.

1. Which one is superior ? Work or destiny ? Work or action is superior as without it even destiny cannot do anything.

2. Continuous efforts are more important than last minute efforts .

3. Perfect blend of available time and task to be done is effective time management.

4.Quality of time spent is more important than quantity of time.

5. Before cutting the tree we have to sharpen the saw. That means we must do planning and preparation before any work.

6. Work Smart not merely hard.

7. Prioritize your activities.

8. Avoid laziness , carelessness, overconfidence and lead disciplined life.

8. Develop good habits.

After this session he explained the importance of positive thinking. He emphaised the fact that our Personality depends on our genes and our circumstances. We can not control both these things. But our thinking also has some effect on our personality.
He gave many examples of people who have overcome their difficulties with the help of positive thinking. The best example is Mr. Stephen Hawking. Due to his incurable disease he is unable to move his body. But he has done a lot of important work and have even received Nobel Prize in Physics .The workshop was quite useful for the students in making them realize the importance of time and time management and the power of positive thinking.
Ashwini Jogalekar and other volunteers did excellent arrangements for the workshop. While concluding the session Dhanashree Ketkar asked the students for the feedback of the workshop ( about what they have understood and what they have liked ?) and thanked everyone for making the workshop successful. Afterwards students were given some snacks and were asked to fill in the feedback forms.
